This self catered trip to Glastonbury has come about after conversations with students and clients. People were looking for a retreat that is not a retreat, but a get together of like minded souls with different skills and talents to swap. They wanted a relaxed holiday type feel, but with guided tours of sacred sites, and the opportunity to take part in Holistic and Spiritual classes and treatments.
I therefore came up with the idea of a 'not for profit' retreat/trip where I would arrange good quality accommodation in a great location and invite anyone called to come along and take part, but also share their own skills and creativity. It will be a relaxed affair and will include guided trips, and some classes, but also plenty of down time and the chance to rest, relax and explore at your own pace.
The accommodation is booked and available from 6pm on Monday 13th October to 10am on Saturday 18th October. Participants will book their room for the entire time, but are free to arrive later or leave earlier.
We have a large 5 bedroom townhouse booked in a central location near Glastonbury Abbey. There are various configurations for rooms but all are ensuite. Shared areas include a large kitchen and dining room, utility, lounge, conservatory, games room, large garden and off road parking. All linen and towels are provided.
The entire trip will be self catered but there are plenty of shops, supermarkets, and cafes nearby.
There will be no set itinerary but we will arrange excursions (additional entry fees to some) to sacred sites in and around Glastonbury which will include Chalice Well Gardens, Goddess Temple, Glastonbury Abbey, Wells Cathedral, St Magdalenes Alms Houses, and Glastonbury Tor.
I am currently trying to arrange a private visit to The white well, where there will be the opportunity to bathe in the scared healing waters.
The hope is that all participants will be able to offer some wisdom, healing or knowledge to the trip and this can be discussed at booking.
There will be a general 'go with the flow' feel to the entire trip, and weather, energies and feelings will dictate our plans. No activity will be compulsory, and you will have ample time to do your own thing.
I am asking all participants to make their own travel arrangements and will set up a WhatsApp group for sharing lifts and information. If necessary we can arrange pick up from the closest train station, bus stops, or Bristol Airport.
As this is a not for profit retreat, the prices per room have been calculated to give a fair share of the facilities in each room and the total accommodation price. Currently the following options are available:
Twin room - £350 pp for 2 people sharing, £500 for single occupancy.
King room - £300pp for couple sharing, £500 for single occupancy.
